Instead of solutions to solve the
debt problem, President Obama proposed more and more programs to SPEND
money. Some of them were just
inane. Many of them would be wonderful
things to do IF WE COULD AFFORD THEM. To
be completely accurate, the President did mention one or two proposals that he
said would “help to reduce the deficit”.
Not only is that too indirect and too little, those things that he
proposed to possibly “help” would, in fact, hurt. He knew this.
He said those things anyway. As
former Governor and Democratic Party leader Mario Cuomo said recently, “President
Obama is a stranger to the truth”.

STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
Just another chapter in the
continuing saga. We have noted before
that the current President completely fails to address the debt crisis in his
State of the Union Addresses. This,
despite the fact that this crisis, this terrible burden, the creeping monster
that draws ever and ever closer, is far and away the greatest threat to our
wonderful country. Action must be
taken. The sooner the better. God please protect us from it being already
too late.

WAKE UP FOLKS. NEO-SOCIALISTS REALLY EXIST AND THEY REALLY ARE THAT SNEAKY!
by F. Eric Saunders
January 2014
I was listening to Laura Ingraham
(who I greatly respect) on the radio today.
She was interviewing a fellow who was telling her just what I have been
saying all along – that Democrats never intended for Obamacare to work – that
they knew it WOULDN’T work. That was the
plan! The idea was to screw up the
system so badly that the only way to fix it would be a giant step toward
socialism. That is EXACTLY the Cloward-Piven strategy of “crisis
creation”. It is done knowingly,
cunningly, and deliberately by the few real leaders of the socialist
movement.
But Laura was skeptical. She wondered if it is really possible for the
Democrats to be that “sneaky”. To me,
this makes the biggest problem we have today stand out like it is lit by torch
lights at midnight. Our biggest problem
is with the skepticism of so many good people.
Of course, we are all aware of many of the conspiracy theories out
there, and their corresponding crackpot theorists. We look on such people with scorn, and we
certainly don’t want to emulate them.
But, folks, that doesn’t mean that there is not a real conspiracy going
on out there. And this one real one is
so, so well documented. The Fabian
Society published its intentions and plans back in the late 19th
century. Knowing that they foundation of
their philosophy was that people are so slow to react that they can pull off
their conspiracy right under our noses, they were so bold as to adopt a wolf in
sheep’s clothing as their symbol. Then, Professors
Cloward and Piven gained fame in the middle 20th century by
improving on the Fabian philosophy – espousing that the real trick is to CREATE
a crisis and then to solve that crisis with a socialistic band aid. In short, they devised a way to speed up the
Fabian plan just a bit. Then along came
Saul Alinsky, President Obama’s real spiritual mentor. He wrote the book on it. It is called Rules For Radicals. It explains the strategies in detail.
How then, oh how, is it that most
people still don’t believe that this is going on under our noses? God knows, I have tried to get the message
across. Well, right now I am not even
going to ask you to believe me, nor even to read my articles on Freedomsite.US
that try to explain the phenomenon and to persuade you. But what I am going to do is to ask you to,
at least, look to a few other sources. I
have compiled a list of a handful of web sites that each, in their own way, try
to introduce people to this terror amongst us.
Since these articles are each written by different people, from
different perspectives, and for different purposes, perhaps the muti-faceted
view of the thing will make it more visible.
You can find the list by going to www.Freedomsite.US
I was recently reminded of this short piece that I wrote a couple of years ago. While it is (seemingly) not directly on topic for this blog. In my mind it is relevant - so I thought I would post it here for your consideration. Thanks for your indulgence. Eric
SOME THOUGHTS ON WHAT
LIFE IS ABOUT
by F. Eric Saunders
January, 2012
Humans are so strange. We want what we want. But why do we want it? What makes us desire such strange things? We become obsessed over the latest craze,
that passing whimsy. We think we are
going to die if we don’t get the latest gadget.
Then, most often, a few weeks later, we can hardly remember why we
wanted that idiotic thing. We throw away
most of our lives in pursuit of things that matter not at all – to the absolute
abandonment of those things that might really matter.
Among the trivialities that we
tend to treat as something that we can’t live without – something that is worth
the effort to sacrifice for – is fame.
Myself, although I admit to having been tempted from time to time, I
tend to recoil at the very idea of seeking fame. The old TV show of that name never ceased to
make my skin crawl when I heard an advert for it. Why, I would always pause to think, would
anyone seek something so empty, so meaningless, so devoid of any real
accomplishment or contribution to the human condition?
Now, on the other hand,
excellence IS something to prize. To do
one’s best, to make the maximum effort or, as Kipling wrote, to “fill each unforgiving
minute with sixty second’s worth of distance run” – that is the real goal. If we measure our worth by our “success” (by
“success” I here mean recognition, fame, acclaim) then most of us will
fail. By definition, acclaim is for the
few. But that is bull crap. The real success is in knowing you did what
you could with what you had. Be it
raising a family, excelling in medical research, or being the best damned
welder on the line, that is where true happiness lies. Sure, if you do your best, fame might find
you. Some people are justly famous for
their good works. But most toil in
obscurity, and that is simply the way of it.
On the other hand, most people who do achieve fame are vapid, insipid,
stupid, shallow twits. That is simply
the way of it. And that is why the
pursuit of fame for its own sake is an empty promise. Even if achieved, it will leave one feeling
empty, and wondering why it seemed like such an important thing in the first
place.
So, my friends, I wish for you –
do your best and be comforted by your own efforts. Should fame come your way, don’t let it change
you. Should fame elude you, you are
probably better off, if only you remember to remember that your worth is
already in you. All you have to do is do
your best to use it.

Yet ANOTHER problem with the so-called "Affordable Care Act"
THEY JUST DON’T GET
IT
By F Eric Saunders
January 2014
Surprise, surprise!! Socialists don’t understand human
nature! Of course, they don’t, or they
wouldn’t be socialists. We have numerous
articles on Freedomsite.US talking about this problem. If there is no incentive (or not sufficient
incentive) to work, then people won’t work.
If you take money from those who earn it and give it to those who don’t,
then those who don’t work will have less incentive to work (since they will
reap the benefits anyway), and those who do work will have less incentive to
work (since there is no point in working so hard if it is just going to be
taken away from you). Aside from the
illogic of socialism, it is based on assumptions about human nature that are
simply not correct.
But now we have yet another
example. (Almost every day we see
another example, but this is a particularly good one.) Among the many other empty promises, mistakes
(inevitable mistakes, given the inherent incompetency of big government), and
outright lies, do you remember the “promise” that a great deal of money would
be “saved” because those previously uninsured people who would formerly go to
the emergency room for routine health care would now instead see their regular
physician and greatly lessen the load on emergency services? That was one of the main premises on which
the “Affordable Care Act” was based.
Now, I don’t mean to imply that
if that “promise” had been correct, then the “Affordable Care Act” would have
worked. No, it has so many, many flaws
that it never stood a chance of working.
But then, it was never intended to work.
It was and is simply another stepping stone on the Fabian path - one
more incremental step toward total government takeover. Dirty Harry Reid even admitted that. Just after the “Affordable Care Act” was
passed, he pronounced that this is just a step along the way toward
implementing a “single payer” plan. And,
just like all such Fabian schemes, it will be so, so hard to reverse. After millions of people are signed up, and
then after the “Affordable Care Act” collapses under its own weight, how will
we ever go back to a workable system?
Once again, instead of fixing what needed to be fixed, the socialists
have thrown the baby out with the bathwater.
But I digress, the topic here is
the effect of the new law on the use of emergency rooms. Well, the early results are already in. Back in 2008 the Government sponsored a study
that showed that Medicare recipients use the emergency rooms more than 40% more
often that non-Medicare patients. But,
once again, the Government ignored its own study. Now, we are already seeing (3 days into the
new year) a flood of new Medicare patients clogging the emergency room. Of course.
While there are many Medicare recipients who are in hard times due to no
fault of their own, many others are part of the chronically unemployed and
unemployable who have no real desire or incentive to improve. Such people don’t have the mindset,
experience, or faculties to make an appointment with a doctor, and then show up
on time to keep such appointment. That
comes as no surprise to those of us who have a basic understanding of human
behavior. But it is a total shock to those
socialists who were SURE (despite the fact that their own study had already
told them the opposite) that giving people insurance would make them more
responsible and more careful and conscientious about how they made use of the
health care system.
Once again the so-called “Affordable
Care Act” has proven to be just the opposite.
It is making health care more, and more, and more expensive.
